My Journey

My name is Kayla Sox, and this blog is the quiet place I built so I could finally hear my own thoughts again.

It began with a simple question I couldn’t shake: What would my life look like if I slowed down enough to notice it?
Not in a dramatic way, not in a “move to the mountains” way — just… enough.
Enough to reflect.
Enough to listen.
Enough to understand the parts of my life I’d been rushing past.

Along the way, I found myself drawn to the writings of monks, the structure of solitude, and the stillness they practiced with intention. I’m not a monk, and I’m not trying to be one. But their simplicity, discipline, and clarity changed how I approached my own days.

This blog is where I write about:

  • What I’m learning from slowing down
  • How silence can shape perspective
  • The habits that bring peace into a busy life
  • The moments that feel spiritual even without ceremony
  • The questions I’m still exploring

I write honestly, without trying to sound perfect or enlightened.
I’m here to share the journey — not the destination.

If you’re looking for calm, reflection, or a reminder that growth doesn’t happen all at once, you’re in the right place.
